Thanksgiving Day

“O Lord, how excellent is Thy name in all the earth.”
We cannot count the blessing Thou dost give!
We come to Thee with gratitude.
Make us conscious of Thy presence; and, in faith,
may we follow where Thou dost lead.
With grateful hearts we receive this food.
In the name of Christ we pray. Amen.

Our Father, make us conscious that we should not overlook the many occasions for giving thanks, particularly on this day that is set apart. All we possess is Thine: our lives, our talents and our hopes for the future. Teach us how to grasp the reality of this moment of sharing fellowship and food. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
