Prayer for Difficult Situations- S2-002

O God, we are helpless in the face of forces we do not understand and cannot control. Our minds are confused and perplexity overwhelms us. While our hearts are aching, be with us and strengthen us that we may see the way out of this turmoil and trouble.

   Bring your peace Lord when all else fails us,
   As with this experience our minds are troubled.
   Come dwell with us through this and in every time of distress.
   In these confounding moments strengthen our spirit.
   Through these horrifying hours that tear our hearts,
   May Thy vision inspire us to be helpful to one another.

We know you care for us. Remove our fears; allay our preoccupation; and strengthen us in this time of disaster.
In the name of Christ we pray. Amen
