Prayer for Special Needs - S1-001

Eternal Father, who has given us life and endowed us with many talents, we pray that the work of our hands be characterized by diligence and willingness. Forgive our neglect. Free us from the bindings of sin. Inspire us with steadfast hope and devoted faith. When our spirit grows dim, may the brilliance of Thy Spirit rekindle us; when life seems useless and the road appears difficult, may Thy Spirit bring us the grace necessary for living in sacrificial service.

We are hesitant to ask anything, yet we know that Thou dost hear every cry of human need. Forgive our weak and selfish complaining, and send us forth to minister in the name of the One who said, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”

Eternal Father, give us through communion with Thee an boundless fellowship broad enough to destroy all prejudice toward our brothers. As we bow at the foot of His cross, in the quietness of our home, make us mindful of our responsibilities as Christians; and when we have laid bare our hearts before Thee, unite us with all Christians in your never ending service.
This we humbly ask for them and for us, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
